Till Post is a small-business publication written by Peter Kalafatis. This page explains how the posts are put together, so a reader can judge how far to trust them.
What comes from my own experience
Posts describe my own work only where I did it: running the Heritage Diner in Mount Sinai, which opened in 2000 as a family business, running Marcellino NY since 2010, and the restaurant technology consulting I did through Nanos Media. Where a post covers something I have not done myself, it says so in plain words and links to where the information came from.
How facts are sourced
Facts, rules and figures come from pages I read while writing, and they are linked in the post and again in a Sources list at the end. I prefer primary sources: government agencies, the companies that make the product, and official help pages. Prices, fees and rates change often, so I leave them out unless a source states them and the post links to it.
Legal, tax and financial topics
Posts on taxes, employment rules, licensing, trademarks or accounting carry a note that they are general information. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and a licensed attorney or accountant should review anything that affects a specific business.
Disclosures
When a post mentions Marcellino NY or any product or service in which I have a financial interest, the post says so. Some links to products on Amazon are affiliate links, and the post marks them as such. The full statement is on the Disclosure page.
Images
Featured and in-article images are generated with Gemini, an AI image tool, rather than taken from stock photo sites. They illustrate a post and do not show a real event, place or product unless the caption says so.
Corrections
If something in a post is wrong or out of date, write to tillpostone@gmail.com or use the Contact page. Corrections are made in the post itself.
